As we lunge towards the crucial exit day when UK is scheduled to leave the EU, there have been no updates on May’s discussions with Jeremy Corbyn and certainly no updates from Europe, who remain steadfast that the deal currently on the table is the only deal in town.
Now, more interestingly, Theresa May has done a video broadcast to the nation from a cosy sofa with a glass of gin/water next to her to suggest there is now a simple binary choice…
1. Leave on the terms of the current deal
2. Cancel Brexit
She was very clear in this, stating that the big bad parliament was ensuring ‘No Deal’ was not an option and therefore placing us in this position where only two other choices remained.
We are not alone in making this observation. Political commentators are now openly discussing the ‘likeliness’ of no Brexit at all…

So, where would that leave us?
A lot of angry union flag waving Brexiteers would likely take to the streets of Westminster to express their disgust and May would likely be forced to resign or at least call a General Election. Although, at this stage and in those circumstances, it would be highly unlikely the Conservatives would win a GE, so more likely to avoid at all costs.
We’ve ordered more popcorn and wait patiently for Friday to arrive and reveal the next instalment in this train wreck known as Brexit.
