Today, UK Prime Minister is making yet another trip to mainland Europe to hold discussions with Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron hoping to secure a delay to what now appears to be an inevitable crash out of Europe.
Previous visits have apparently attempted to change the terms of the withdrawal agreement, as well as try and secure a delay to the UK’s exit to avoid a ‘no deal’ scenario. Today, is likely to see Mrs May ask for a further postponement which will require the signatures of all 27 nations during an emergency summit on Wednesday.
The UK is currently due to leave the EU on Friday, following repeated failures in any attempt to secure an extension.
